Кристина Бадиола, исполнительный директор Michael Page, revealed that 45 percent of workers in Nuevo León are considering changing jobs for various reasons, including the lack of short- and medium-term growth opportunities, as well as dissatisfaction with their current salary. According to Badiola, the main reason driving workers to seek new job options is the possibility of obtaining a better salary.

Badiola pointed out that a large percentage of workers would be willing to move to another city in search of a higher salary, as 82 percent of respondents believe that a salary increase would be a determining factor in accepting a change of residence. Javier Torre, general director of PageGroup Mexico, mentioned that the economic aspect has gained greater relevance in workers' job decisions, especially after the pandemic and the inflationary growth of recent years.

According to Badiola's statements, the study revealed that only 13 percent of participants are not currently looking for new jobs. In addition, 60 percent of respondents would be willing to change jobs even if the salary were lower, indicating that job dissatisfaction is not limited solely to the economic aspect, but is also related to the lack of growth opportunities within companies.

Regarding the most relevant aspects for employees within companies, the importance of having a career and development plan (34 percent), bonuses (24 percent), incentives (25 percent), recognition from leaders (11 percent) and the possibility of working in other areas or regions (six percent) is highlighted. Badiola mentioned that, in addition to salary, workers are also interested in having benefits that exceed the legal minimum, opportunities for professional growth, and flexible policies in their workplaces.
