Shortage of Inapam Cards Affects Older Adults

For some time now, more than 4 million people have received the Inapam card, which is highly sought after by seniors as it offers discounts that benefit their economy, according to Ariadna Montiel. In response to reports of a lack of delivery of the credentials, those affected are urged to communicate the situation through the Well-Being line or the Secretary's page.

Seniors have experienced a shortage of Inapam cards when trying to process them at the Well-Being modules. It was reported that this shortage is due to the change of government, which has also caused an overload in procedures and suspension of the service in some places. The local press has gathered testimonies from affected individuals, such as Johnattan Herrera, who expressed his frustration with the lack of communication and attention from the authorities.

This situation has been observed in various modules in different municipalities such as Tlalpan, Benito Juárez, and Venustiano Carranza, as well as in other states like Campeche. Rosemarie Lazarus from the DIF reported that the delay in delivering credentials is approximately two months and called for patience from those affected. Despite this, at the Inapam headquarters, they assure that although there is a delay, the cards have not been suspended.

In a conference, Ariadna Montiel addressed the reports of the shortage of Inapam cards. She stated that for the past two years, the processing of this card has been implemented in the Well-Being modules and that, to her knowledge, there has not been a prolonged shortage of them. She emphasized that the processing continues regularly and that Inapam cards are distributed throughout the country.
