The national leader of the Federation of State Workers' Unions (FSTSE), Joel Ayala Almeida, announced the realization of an agreement with the Federal Government to ensure the allocation of year-end economic incentives called "Grocery Vouchers" to active operational personnel starting in December 2024.
In statements from the national headquarters of the FSTSE, Ayala Almeida informed that the agreement, which solidifies this benefit as a labor right, was signed recently. The amount of the vouchers will be $14,500 pesos, resulting from successful negotiations between the federation and the government, despite current budgetary limitations.
"This amount of $14,500 pesos is a significant achievement in a context of financial constraints, reflecting the success of the negotiations with the Federal Government," explained Ayala Almeida, adding that the benefit will be delivered in a single payment.
In a message directed to the President of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the union leader acknowledged the fulfillment of commitments to state workers, highlighting the consistency of these actions with the national project and its goal of progressively improving the purchasing power of public employees.
Ayala Almeida pointed out the relevance of support through year-end vouchers in light of the upcoming festivities and the "January slope," emphasizing their positive impact on family expenses and the possibility for children to receive their gifts. According to data from INEGI, the price increases in some products, exceeding 50% from one month to the next, significantly affect the pockets of state workers.
