El Buen Fin, an annual event in Mexico that offers discounts and promotions, will take place from November 15 to 18, 2024. One of the main attractions of this event is the draw organized by the Tax Administration Service (SAT), which aims to encourage the use of electronic payments and financial inclusion.
This year, the draw will be held on December 13, and prizes totaling 400 million pesos will be distributed among cardholders who make purchases during El Buen Fin. Prizes can range from 20,000 to 250,000 pesos, and the participation of thousands of businesses in this initiative is expected.
Interested businesses have until November 14 to register for free on the official portal to be part of the draw. To be eligible, businesses must have reported cumulative income of up to five million pesos in the 2023 fiscal year and meet requirements such as being up to date with their tax obligations and having an active Tax Mailbox.
For participants, no prior registration is required. They only need to make purchases starting from 250 pesos at participating stores using credit or debit cards from participating banks. Prizes, ranging from 500 to 20,000 pesos, will be deposited into the account linked to the card used for the purchase within 20 business days after the draw.
The SAT will publish the list of winners on its portal starting December 16, 2024. If more information is needed, interested parties can contact MarcaSAT. Large department stores and online stores such as Amazon, Mercado Libre, and Shein are part of the participating businesses. It is important to verify that the establishment where the purchase is made is part of El Buen Fin to qualify for the offered prizes.
