University-level students in Mexico will have the opportunity to access a new Uber membership, called Uber One for Students. This membership offers a series of exclusive benefits designed to facilitate both the daily life and academic life of students. With this initiative, the aim is to provide more accessible and convenient solutions for young people, who often have tight budgets.
Daniel Colunga, general director of Uber Eats in Mexico, emphasized that the membership is designed to meet the specific needs of students, providing value in their day-to-day lives and helping them focus on what really matters: their well-being and their studies.
The launch of Uber One for Students aims not only to benefit users but also to support the restaurants, partner businesses, and delivery people that are part of the Uber ecosystem, contributing to the growth of all involved. The membership is targeted at more than four million university students in Mexico and aims to make Uber Eats services and rides in the Uber app more accessible.
Among the benefits included in this membership are free delivery for food and store item orders, as well as a reimbursement in credits for each trip taken. The membership will be available for 49 pesos per month or 490 pesos annually.
Regarding the concrete benefits of Uber One for Students:
- Free delivery: students can place orders at restaurants without paying the delivery fee for orders over 159 pesos, or at convenience stores and supermarkets with purchases starting from 199 pesos and 500 pesos, respectively. - Travel credits: users will receive a 5% cashback in Uber One credits for eligible trips, which can be used for future purchases or rides. - Priority access: members will have preferential access to the highest-rated drivers, improving ride quality. - Priority support: students will be able to resolve inquiries quickly, with preferential attention in any inconvenience.
