El Tri to Celebrate 55th Anniversary Concert

The legendary Mexican rock group El Tri announced a special concert that will mark the end of their 55th anniversary tour. The vocalist and leader of the band, Álex Lora, anticipated that the concert will have a repertoire that includes great hits, new songs, and a tribute to Javier Bátiz, an icon of national rock who recently passed away.

In addition, El Tri will present their song 'Trump', dedicated to the president of the United States. The direct and forceful lyrics contain phrases like 'Damn Donald Trump, why don't you die?'. The concert will take place at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, without special guests, considering that the audience who has accompanied the band over the years is their main guest.

The song 'Trump' was released in 2017 as part of the album 'We Were Born to Roll and... I Don't Care'. In it, El Tri openly criticizes the actions of the president of the United States, urging him to fulfill his promises and questioning his controversial statements.

During more than half a century of trajectory, El Tri has faced obstacles and governmental repression. Álex Lora pointed out that for a time, being a rock and roll musician was equated with being a 'satanic narco', but the band has kept the flame of rock and roll alive.

Families and fans from various parts of Mexico, the United States, and Latin America are expected to attend the 55th anniversary concert of El Tri. Tickets are available in different sections with prices ranging from 366 to 1,300 Mexican pesos. Additionally, a contest has been announced on social media to give away a special edition of the official guitar for El Tri's concert.
