Start of the School Cycle 2025-2 at UNAM

The 2025-2 school cycle of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is about to begin, being the second semester of the 2024-2025 school cycle that follows the annual system. Both semester and annual students know how important rest days are to organize their time.

The school calendar for the 2025-2 cycle includes non-working days that affect undergraduate students, high school students, and other areas, such as February 3, March 17, and the holidays of May 1, 10, and 15. These dates are ideal for taking a well-deserved break, whether to plan short trips or simply relax.

January 27 will mark the return to classes for more than 374,000 students and 42,000 academics from UNAM distributed across 16 faculties, 9 multidisciplinary units, and 5 national schools, enthusiastically starting the 2025-2 school cycle.

Regarding the most important dates, Monday, January 27 will be the return to classes for undergraduate students, with a semester ending scheduled for May 23. It is worth noting that UNAM's school calendar has differentiated start dates; for example, the Faculty of Engineering will begin classes on February 4, after restarting the re-enrollment process on January 30.

On the other hand, the National Preparatory School began the 2024-2025 school cycle on January 6, with classes starting on August 5, 2024, and concluding on April 25, 2025, while for students of the National College of Sciences and Humanities, the cycle began on January 20 and will end on May 16.
