The new telenovela "Games of Love and Power" under the production of Carlos Bardasano and the pen of Ximena Suárez, will bring together a luxury cast led by Eduardo Santamarina, Claudia Martín, Mayrín Villanueva, and Arap Bethke. Other talented actors such as Alejandra Barros, Gaby Paltas, and Sylvia Pasquel will also be part of this promising production.
In a recent statement, Eduardo Santamarina expressed that despite participating in different projects, he considers the experience in this telenovela to be unique. The actor highlighted the relationship between the artistic world and politics, stating that although politics may have more glamour, both spheres go hand in hand.
Eduardo Santamarina has demonstrated his versatility throughout his extensive career in telenovelas. From his leading role in 'Marisol' (1996) alongside Erika Buenfil, to portraying the villain Octavio Toscano in 'La Desalmada' (2022), Santamarina has captivated the audience with characters such as Alejandro Cárdenas in 'Rubí' (2004) and Leonardo Cornejo in 'Ni contigo ni sin ti' (2011). His participation in 'Antes muerta que Lichita' (2015) as Augusto de Toledo solidified him as one of the most beloved actors on Mexican television.
In this new proposal from TelevisaUnivision, 'Games of Love and Power', Eduardo Santamarina will portray Enrique Ferrer, a powerful politician married to Inés, a character played by Mayrín Villanueva. The plot presents a love triangle full of tensions, especially when Luciana, Enrique's adopted daughter and a role played by Claudia Martín, appears and triggers a series of events that will test family ties and the moral limits of each character.
Regarding this new project, actor Eduardo Santamarina expressed his preference for continuing to be an actor rather than entering politics, making clear his commitment to his artistic career.
