The singer recalled that she was banned from several television programs, such as 'Siempre en domingo', after presenting this song.
Despite the initial censorship, 'Con él' became a hit thanks to the promotion it received from the LGBTQ+ community in gay clubs almost clandestinely. Rocío Banquells explained that she wrote this song from a place of respect for free will and the freedom to express love in whatever way one wishes.
