
In February, basic education students will have a second long weekend. The first bridge was celebrated on February 3 for the anniversary of the Mexican Constitution. The second will be on Friday, February 28 due to the School Technical Council, so there will be no classes that day.
In April, Easter holidays will take place from the 14th to the 25th, including Saturday and Sunday as part of the break. Students will return to classes on Monday, April 28. There will also be no classes on May 1 due to Labor Day, and on May 5, school activities will be suspended in commemoration of the Battle of Puebla.
May 15 will be another day off, in commemoration of Teacher's Day. On Friday, May 30, there will also be no classes due to the monthly School Technical Council. In June, there will only be a day off on Friday, June 27 for another School Technical Council.
The 2024-2025 school year established by the Secretariat of Public Education outlines several days off for students and teachers in Mexico, providing moments of rest throughout the year. In July, the 2024-2025 school year will conclude on the 16th, granting students an extended break until Monday, March 3.
The School Technical Council (CTE) is a meeting body that brings together the educational community of a school to make technical and pedagogical decisions aimed at improving student learning outcomes. These sessions are held regularly before the school year begins and on the last Friday of each month, with the participation of all teaching staff of the institution.
In addition to those mentioned, students will enjoy at least 8 other official days off during the 2024-2025 school year, alongside the Easter holidays and the end of the school year. Monday, March 17 will also be a day off in celebration of Benito Juárez's birthday.
