Wonderful plays at El Galeón

The play "Civilization" is being presented at the El Galeón theater in the Cultural Center of the Forest and will be available until March 2.

One of the most outstanding performances is by Emma Dib, who surprises the audience with her masterful interpretation of Clytemnestra. The tragedy unfolds when Agamemnon sacrifices his daughter to gain the help of the gods, a typical story from Greek mythology. The duration of the play is two and a half hours, showcasing a simple yet well-executed production.

The role of Agamemnon is masterfully portrayed by actor Estrella, who stands out for his histrionic ability on stage. "Civilization" also features a stellar cast, including Talía Marcela, Julio César Luna, and David Barrera Bautista, directed by master Enrique Singer with dramaturgy by Marina Carr.

Another notable play is "The Girl on the Altar," a Greek tragedy that leaves a good impression on the audience. The text, written by Luis Enrique González Ortiz Monasterio, addresses the story of a businesswoman looking to build a building in a location that would clash with the aesthetics of the environment. This conflict exposes how humans are capable of anything to achieve their goals.

The performances of Marina, Salvador Sánchez, and other talented actors stand out in the staging. The direction of Boris Schoemann is also praised for guiding the cast to embody the unique characters that represent corruption, betrayal, and money in the plot of the play.
