Security Enhanced for Upcoming Events in Sinaloa

International events like the Agricultural Expo 2025 and Mazatlán Carnival will see 3,000 federal forces ensuring safety for visitors in Sinaloa. The Expo will run from February 12-14, drawing 150 exhibitors, while the Carnival expects over a million tourists.


Security Enhanced for Upcoming Events in Sinaloa

To ensure the protection of foreign visitors during two important events in Sinaloa, 3,000 federal forces will be deployed in Mazatlán and Culiacán. The International Agricultural Expo 2025 will take place from February 12 to February 14 in the Aguaruto district of Culiacán, with the participation of 150 exhibitors from various countries, such as the United States, Japan, Canada, and Israel.

In parallel, the Mazatlán Carnival 2025 will occur from February 27 to March 4. The security operation began on February 5 with the presence of elements from the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Navy, the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, as well as personnel from the Sinaloa State Security Ministry and municipal police.

The president of the Organizing Committee of the Sinaloa Agro Expo 2025 mentioned that approximately 4,000 participants are expected to attend the exhibition. Additionally, it was reported that reservations in Sinaloa before the Carnival have already reached 85%. The Confederation of Agricultural Associations of Sinaloa and the Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement to boost economic activity through the promotion of complementary activities to the exhibition.

Regarding the Mazatlán Carnival, the visit of more than a million national and foreign tourists is estimated, with reservations currently reaching 85%. Last year, this event generated an economic spill of 1.2 billion pesos, with the arrival of two cruise ships and thousands of tourists. Despite recent conditions in Mazatlán, it is expected to surpass those figures this year.

The Carnival cruise, which arrived on February 5 with more than 4,000 passengers and crew members, will explore local attractions and benefit commerce with an estimated economic spill of 7 million pesos. The Carnival will remain until Thursday before departing for Cabo San Lucas.
