In the recent edition of the Lo Nuestro Awards, held on February 21, 2025, the winners in various categories were revealed. Some of the recognized personalities include Karol G, Shakira, Carín León, and Majo Aguilar. The latter managed to snatch the award for Best Artist of the Year from her cousin, Ángela Aguilar.
Among the honorees of the night are Karol G as Lo Nuestro Awards Artist of the Year, Shakira with her album Las mujeres ya no lloran, and Belinda in the category of Best Female Collaboration for her song Jackpot alongside Kenia Os. Additionally, collaborations such as Puntería by Shakira and Cardi B, and Bellakeo by Anitta and Peso Pluma are highlighted.
In the urban genre, Feid was named Male Artist of the Year, while Karol G took the title of Female Artist of the Year. Carlos Rivera and Shakira were also awarded in the categories of Male and Female Pop Artist of the Year respectively. Ha*Ash was recognized as Group or Duo of the Year in the Pop/Rock category.
Regarding Mexican music, Carlos Vives stood out as Artist of the Year in the tropical genre. Carín León was awarded for the song Una vida pasada, and Majo Aguilar received the award for Best Female Artist of the Year in Mexican Music. Grupo Frontera took home the recognition as Group or Duo of the Year in the same category.
