Corinne García Promotes Inclusion in Mexico

Corinne García is the Deputy General Counsel of Oracle for Latin America. During her tenure, she has been responsible for implementing a culture of inclusion in Mexico, standing out for promoting active listening and active observation in the company. In her words, she has learned to see beyond her own reality, recognizing the diversity of stories and perspectives that each person brings.

In her leadership, Corinne has advocated for corporate diversity and inclusion, supporting initiatives that bring visibility to women, the LGBTQ+ community, and promote environmental care. Her activism has been reflected in sectors such as technology, aviation, and entertainment.

One of the most significant achievements during her tenure has been the launch of 5 generations of a program focused on empowering women. Thanks to this program, over 1500 women have benefited, and 52% of those certified have been promoted in the last 3 years. Corinne emphasizes that the program was directed at all women in the organization, fostering their development and growth within the company.

Amid her efforts for inclusion, Corinne emphasizes the importance of not staying silent and involving men as allies in the fight for gender equity in the workplace. During the pandemic, the additional burden that many women had to carry in balancing work and domestic responsibilities became evident, prompting a change in the organization to address these issues.

With a career spanning 19 years in corporate law, strategic contracts, and intellectual property, Corinne has also led Diversity and Inclusion Networking initiatives in the Mexican Association of Information Technology Industry, specifically in the Women in Technology subcommittee. Additionally, as a graduate in Law and with a master's degree in Business Law, she has contributed to the Culture and Inclusion committee of Oracle Mexico and the Oracle Women’s Leadership (OWL) committee.
