The Tourism Tianguis will take place in less than two months, and the news for this year's edition has been announced. One of the main updates will be the incorporation of a binational venue to cater to experience marketers living in the United States. The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, and the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguíniga Rodríguez, officially presented the Tourism Tianguis 2025, which will be held from April 28 to May 1 at the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito.
At a press conference, it was revealed that this will be the first edition of the Tourism Tianguis with a Mexico-American character, with activities taking place in both Baja California and San Diego, responding to the growing demand from buyers in the United States and Canada. So far, the participation of all 32 states of Mexico has been confirmed, along with the attendance of 300 buyers, of which 40% come from the United States and Canada, while the rest will arrive from Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
The Secretary of Tourism highlighted that a record has been achieved in attendance, with 924 buyers from 624 companies from 26 countries, emphasizing that 40% of them are from the United States and Canada. A massive participation is expected with between 10,000 and 15,000 people on a surface area of 26,000 square meters during the celebration of the most important tourism event in America.
As part of the Tourism Tianguis, the cultural riches of Mexico, its pre-Hispanic traditions, dances, crafts, and gastronomy will be showcased as distinguishing elements from other destinations. Additionally, activations will be held in municipalities such as Ensenada, Tijuana, and Valle de Guadalupe to promote and give visibility to Baja California.
New technologies will be presented to strengthen tourism activities, such as the relaunch of the Visit Mexico platform with artificial intelligence and immersive experiences. Among the surprises is the launch of 'La Gran Escapada, El Buen Fin del Turismo,' an initiative to promote tourism through exclusive promotions and offers on accommodation, transportation, and tourism activities.
For the first time in northern Mexico, this edition of the Tourism Tianguis has generated great expectations in the tourism industry, showing interest and confidence in Baja California as the venue for significant events. This is a unique opportunity to showcase the richness and diversity of tourism in the region, from its natural landscapes to its gastronomy and internationally renowned wines, demonstrating that Baja California is ready to welcome visitors and professionals in the sector with an attractive and competitive offer.
