
The Mexican Association of Transport and Mobility (AMTM) has launched the call for the 16th National Urban Transport and Mobility Award 2025, which will award up to 35 thousand pesos in cash to the best project, thesis, or essay proposing innovative solutions for transportation in the cities of Mexico.
Javier Hernández, the award coordinator, highlighted that the call is open to students, academics, consultants, officials, and the general public with the aim of gathering innovative ideas that improve the operation, modernization, and sustainability of urban mobility systems. Hernández emphasized the importance of renewing the way we move, as urban mobility directly affects the quality of life of millions of people.
Participants can register in three main categories: Graduate Thesis (for specialization, master's, doctoral, post-doctoral), Projects and undergraduate degree works focused on urban mobility, and Essays centered on topics such as road safety, technological innovation, social inclusion, and energy efficiency.
The deadline for submitting works is September 29 of this year, and the winners will be announced on November 6 of the same year. In addition to the cash prize, the top places will have the opportunity to present their works before experts and authorities at specialized forums, as well as receive the support of the AMTM to disseminate their findings.
Javier Hernández expressed his confidence that national talent and the different perspectives of the academic, professional, and citizen community can offer transformative solutions in the field of urban mobility. The award presents an opportunity for these ideas to come to life and benefit the entire country.
