Recognition of the Work of Working Dogs in Mexico

In a recent event, the Mexican Canine Federation A.C. addressed important topics such as first aid for working dogs, biosecurity, and the use of instinct in scent work. The objective was to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the participants for the benefit of animal welfare and operational effectiveness.

It is noteworthy that the Mexican Canine Federation A.C. is the only one in the country recognized by the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), based in Thuin, Belgium. The latter is a global organization that gathers more than 100 countries and supports excellence in the breeding and work of dogs in various disciplines. The recognition awarded highlights the valuable work of the Federation in operations and security actions in Mexico.

This recognition is due to performance in special interventions and operations such as High Force, Safe Street, State Limit, and Observation Points, as well as contributions in narcotics detection. The police personnel in charge of these specimens also participated in the "International Meeting of Rescue, Detection, and Utility Dogs 2025."

Two canine specimens, "Daysi" and "Ares," belonging to the K9 Wolves Group of the State Police, received the recognition of "Best Dog of the Year in Work and Service 2024" from the Mexican Canine Federation. This award reflects the quality and dedication of these dogs in their daily service and protection work.
