The highly anticipated biographical series about Chespirito, one of Mexico's iconic comedians, is set to debut on June 5, 2025, on streaming platform Max. The show will depict his life and legacy, showcasing his journey from a young dreamer to a beloved television star.

A new biographical series about Chespirito, one of the most emblematic creators of Mexican comedy, is ready to hit the screens. The series is titled "Chespirito: Sin querer queriendo" and already has an official premiere date. In the teaser released on April 16, the character Roberto Gómez Bolaños, played by Pablo Cruz, states, "to tell the stories of ordinary people, with achievements, dreams, and struggles."

The creators of the project – Roberto and Paulina Gómez Fernández, children of the author of "Chavo del 8" – appear as producers. However, Florinda Meza, the widow of Gómez Bolaños, opposed this initiative, stating that in the biography of her husband he was not given due respect and accuracy. It later became known that there were disagreements between Roberto Gómez Fernández and Florinda Meza.

In the official trailer, it was hinted that the series would narrate the life and legacy of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, starting from his childhood and artistic journey from the 50s to the 80s. The series is planned to be released with all eight episodes, each of which will be available weekly, starting from June 5, 2025.

"Chespirito: Sin querer queriendo" represents a joint project of Warner Bros. Discovery, THR3 Media Group, and Perro Azul. The series reflects the story of the artistic journey of a genius, who became known for such popular characters as "Chavo del 8" and "Chespirito". The main character, whose role was played by Pablo Cruz, struggles to maintain himself in the television industry, sacrificing the love of his life and acknowledging many aspects of his personal life.

In the series, actors who portray unforgettable characters such as Don Ramón, Kiko, Don Florinda, Rubén Aguirre, Professor Jirafales, and many others are featured. Fans of Mexican comedy eagerly await the release of the series to learn more about the life and work of the great Roberto Gómez Bolaños and the people who inspired and entertained through his characters.
