The second edition of 'La Casa de los Famosos Mexico' has caused great controversy, becoming the most-watched program in the history of Mexican television. The conflicts between Team Earth and Team Sea generated disapproval from the audience towards the team led by Adrián Marcelo, who was ultimately expelled after a fierce fight with Gala Montes. This situation heightened the tension among the show's followers.
Viewer criticisms were swift as contestants were eliminated weekly from the house, especially directed at figures like Araceli Ordaz, known as 'Gomita.' Despite her indifference to the negative comments, the influencer revealed in a podcast the deep impact she felt from the received criticisms, even considering taking her own life due to the 'hate' she faced.
During the interview, Gomita confessed that her participation in the reality show and the criticisms about her attitudes toward other contestants led her to dark moments: 'I felt very bad because of the hate... several times I tried to take my own life.' Araceli also explained the reasons that led her to compose a song recounting her experience on the show, revealing that the mockery about her physical appearance was a fundamental part of her decision.
The pain generated by constant criticisms was a key factor in Gomita considering the option of filming a 'roast' in response, although with the intention that something even more impactful would happen to her.
