Gala Montes Discusses Musical Collaborations and Women's Issues

The singer Gala Montes expressed her interest in collaborating with Natanael Cano, interpreter of songs like 'Cuerno azulado', highlighting that Cano supported her during her participation in La Casa de los Famosos Mexico and that it would be a dream and an illusion for her to work together. In a brief interaction with the media, the 24-year-old young actress mentioned that she enjoys experimenting with different musical genres, although it sometimes confuses her followers, as she considers her music to be her personal project in which she wants to convey her essence.

Gala Montes was questioned about the themes in corridos tumbados, especially those that address topics related to drug trafficking and violence. In this sense, the performer of 'Tacara' expressed that, despite having participated in a series about drug trafficking in the past, she does not agree with the glorification of these themes in music. For this reason, her new song 'Antes que feliz', belonging to the genre of corrido tumbado, addresses relevant issues such as gender violence, inspired by her experience in La Casa de los Famosos.

Gala Montes, known for her participation in telenovelas like Diseñando tu amor, pointed out that corridos tumbados are not the cause of violence in Mexico, but that there are other issues in society that require attention from authorities, such as security in the streets and the prevention of gender violence. The artist, who has defined herself as a feminist, stated that she will continue her fight through her social media and her new album, in solidarity with women who suffer from violence.

Regarding her musical projects, Gala Montes shared information about her upcoming album, from which she has released previews like 'Tacara', 'Más bonita que el mar', and 'Antes que feliz'. Although she does not yet have a defined release date, she hinted that it will be an album with various genres, not limited to corrido tumbado, being in the final production stage. The artist expressed her desire to deliver to her audience a work that reflects her roots and her journey as a child actress, intending for them to feel proud of her artistic evolution.
