Scaffolding Collapse at Mother's Day Event

A scaffolding collapse occurred in Gustavo A. Madero three hours before a scheduled Mother's Day event. Seven people were treated for minor injuries, with no fatalities reported. The local mayor awaits an investigation to determine if negligence played a role.

The company had until before the event to present its structural safety report. However, the report was not submitted in time, and now the company will have to do it before the Attorney General's Office. Janecarlo Lozano emphasized that there were no attendees on the esplanade at that moment, as the event was supposed to start at six in the evening, and the incident occurred three hours earlier during the pre-setup.

Janecarlo Lozano, mayor of Gustavo A. Madero, visited the Riobamba Hospital in the Lindavista neighborhood to see the people injured in the fall of the set. The National Action Party (PAN) demanded that Janecarlo Lozano reveal the contracts with the company responsible for the stage and asked to know who was responsible for verifying the structural schemes.

The PAN expressed its solidarity with the victims of the incident and lamented what happened in the Gustavo A. Madero mayoralty. The importance of repairing the damage and holding responsible parties accountable was mentioned in the event that it was a public event financed with public resources.

Despite the collapse of the structure, there were no human casualties or serious injuries. Six people were treated for shock, and two of them suffered minor injuries that did not require hospitalization. Janecarlo Lozano confirmed that no loss of human life was reported and that the injured were workers of the company responsible for the set.

Madero mentioned that he will wait for the expert analysis from the Attorney General's Office regarding the incident and emphasized that the most important thing is that there were no fatalities. The legal representative of the responsible company was testifying before the attorney general to clarify what happened.
