Mexico is preparing to host a new edition of the American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf, a memorable event celebrating the destination's gastronomy and sporting spirit, scheduled for December 4-7, 2025. For four days, the peninsula will become the meeting point for renowned chefs, professional golfers, and food lovers, offering an experience that combines high cuisine, world-class golf, and unparalleled hospitality. The 2025 edition will kick off with the Golf.com Punta Mita Golf Challenge. In parallel, attendees will enjoy a diverse culinary program that includes: • The classic lunch at Kupuri Beach Club, with offerings from Montage Los Cabos, Pendry Newport Beach, and an omakase menu from chef Yasuo Asai, Goodwill Ambassador of Japanese Gastronomy. • At the Bahía restaurant of Four Seasons Punta Mita, chef Rodrigo Cárdenas, a James Beard Award finalist, will offer a proposal that combines the culinary heritage of Northern Mexico with coastal touches. • Exclusive dinners at various venues, such as Rubra with Daniela Soto-Innes; Dos Catrinas with Leslie Durso, a leading figure in vegan gastronomy; Carolina at The St. Regis Punta Mita with Lorea and Odette Olavarri Pons; and The Deck with Argentine chefs Juan Guizzo and Federico Fernández, who will offer a 'Reef & Beef' experience. The 2025 edition will feature a golf duel between Lorena Ochoa and her coach Rafael Alarcón, accompanied by a culinary lineup led by chef Daniela Soto-Innes and the creator of the poke bowl, Sam Choy. Among the featured chefs are: • Daniela Soto-Innes, named World's Best Female Chef 2019 and chef of Rubra Punta de Mita, in her event debut. • Thierry Blouet and Vanessa Blouet, father and daughter, who represent the Franco-Mexican gastronomic legacy of Casa Blouet. • Sam Choy, the legendary creator of the poke bowl, who will present the flavors of Hawaii. • Rupam Bhagat, a chef originally from Bombay and founder of Indian Paradox in San Francisco, bringing a spicy and contemporary touch. • Héctor Leyva, a local host of Hector's Kitchen, nestled in the exclusive Kupuri Beach Club, known for his Mexican cuisine proposal. During Friday and Saturday, the Pacífico and Bahía courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, will be the stage for the Copa de Golf de Punta Mita. The event will also include whale watching tours, visits to raicilla distilleries in Sayulita to learn about the agave tradition, and cooking classes aimed at connecting participants with the culture and roots of Punta Mita. The grand finale will be in the hands of the culinary teams from Montage and Pendry Hotels, brands that will soon open new properties in the community. It is announced that the 2026 edition will celebrate the event's 15th anniversary. The Mexican legend Lorena Ochoa will share the course with Rafael Alarcón, her mentor and professional coach, in a duel that honors one of the most iconic duos in Latin American golf. The excitement will be commented by Craig 'The Walrus' Standler, and will be accompanied by exclusive cocktails offered by sponsors Tequila Patrón and Ilegal Mezcal. The Aeroméxico-Delta opening cocktail, to be held at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, will bring together an exceptional lineup of culinary talents under the leadership of the resort's team.
