The mayor of Coyoacán, Giovani Gutiérrez, led the authorities' work on the scene and set up a permanent assistance point for the victims. He confirmed that in coordination with the city government, temporary accommodation will be provided to the 27 affected families. After the explosion, all buildings in the block were inspected to check for significant structural damage. The mayor also assured that authorities will remain permanently on-site to provide medical, legal, and other assistance. Tents with medical care, vaccination (especially for tetanus), water, hot food, and drinks have been set up for those who were evacuated and for permanent workers at the site.
