This Thursday morning, a major pile-up occurred on Federal Highway 57, near the Corregidora Stadium in Querétaro, causing a total traffic collapse towards Celaya. The accident involved several vehicles, including trailers and private cars, creating a chaotic scene and a significant mobilization of emergency services in the area. According to initial reports, the incident was caused by traffic congestion from a previous accident. More vehicles joined the crash, unable to stop in time, forming a large-scale pile-up. The accident resulted in 2 deaths and 17 injuries. The Querétaro Fire Department confirmed that the accident left two people dead and at least 15 injured. In this situation, a trailer driver failed to brake in time, triggering a chain reaction. After the initial impact, a private car crashed into the back of the trailer, while another cargo unit ended up crushing it, worsening the magnitude of the accident. Most of the injured are reported to be stable, although at least one person had to be taken to a hospital for specialized medical care. Rescue operations were carried out at the scene, including heavy equipment work to free people trapped between vehicles. Following the accident, emergency personnel, paramedics, and security forces arrived at the site to assist the injured and coordinate the removal of wrecked units. Due to the scale of the incident, traffic was temporarily closed, causing long lines of vehicles and severe congestion on one of the country's most traveled highways.
