The Iztapalapa mayor's office announced which roads will be closed for the traditional Via Crucis. From March 31 to April 4, a security operation with police deployment will be in effect. Road closures will be from 6:00 to 18:00, but residents will have access to the streets at all times. During the Via Crucis, medical services and hydration points will be set up at Macroplaza, Ermita, Comonfort, and the corner of San Felipe de Jesús and Miguel Hidalgo. The traditional Iztapalapa Via Crucis, which mobilizes eight original neighborhoods each year, transforming streets into biblical spaces, will take place as usual this year. This Friday, April 3, the event will begin at 13:00. Authorities have also suggested alternative routes for drivers, such as Eje 5 Sur, Periférico Ring, Avenida Tláhuac, and other major avenues.
