Early Tuesday morning, a rollover truck accident left 18 people injured on the road to Monclova and Periférico, at the height of the Andrés Caballero colony, in the municipality of Escobedo. The accident was reported to the Nuevo León Civil Protection at 23:15. Upon arrival, emergency services confirmed that an AYCO-type bus from the company TPM, white with license plate A-32907-R, crashed into a concrete retaining wall and subsequently overturned. The unit had left the ForjaMty company and was traveling with 18 people on board. After the rollover, four of the injured were transferred in an ambulance from the El Carmen municipality to the HGZ 21 Hospital of the IMSS. The remaining 14 were taken to the San Felipe Hospital, located in the Cumbres de Monterrey colony, in a transport vehicle hired by the truck's insurance. Search and Rescue personnel secured the area and eliminated risks while waiting for Traffic to arrive. As a measure, one lane in the direction of the El Carmen municipality was temporarily closed. Units attending the scene included U.07 Nuevo León Civil Protection, U 33 PC Escobedo, U R03 Search and Rescue (ByR), U 184 Red Cross, and U A03 Crum. According to initial reports, the bus driver lost control after being blinded by the lights of another vehicle. The road to Monclova has become a recurrent site of traffic accidents, some with tragic consequences.
