The iconic statue fell again on Tuesday, just as it did in 1957, several media outlets reported that morning.
The statue, which was on a high pedestal in X Park, was toppled by strong winds, causing damage to its structure and raising concerns among citizens.
"Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident, but it's sad to see how such an important symbol of our city suffers another mishap like this," commented a witness who saw the statue fall.
Local authorities have already begun restoration work, and it is expected that the statue will be placed back in its location in the coming weeks, once the necessary repairs are made.
