Mexican actress Angélica Rivera responded to the latest statements from her daughter, Sofía Castro, about former president Enrique Peña Nieto and her future plans upon arriving at the airport. Both were returning from a trip when they were intercepted by the media. Rivera mentioned that she plans to write an autobiography and possibly return to television in the future.

Angélica Rivera and Enrique Peña Nieto got married in November 2010, starting a new chapter together in the presidential family two years later. After their divorce in 2019, Rivera expressed her interest in reviving her acting career the following year. Although she did not want to delve into details about Peña Nieto, she reiterated that she had already said enough about her past relationship.

In 2019, Angélica Rivera announced on Instagram her return to acting after her separation. Her most notable project to date had been "Destilando Amor" in 2007. Now, Rivera is focused on planning her daughter's wedding, but she is also considering resuming her acting career for the next year once the preparations are complete. After her time as first lady, she temporarily left television.
