The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) is responsible for designing educational strategies, monitoring academic achievements at the regional and national levels, as well as planning the educational future of the country. In the 2024-2025 School Calendar for preschool, primary, and secondary education, days off for basic education students are established, during which teachers meet to assess the progress of the implemented strategies.
According to the SEP, there will be no classes on Friday, October 25, 2024, due to a regular session of the School Technical Council. These sessions are held eight times a year at the end of each month during the school period, except for vacation periods. The days off for the CTE sessions in the calendar are as follows:
- Friday, September 27, 2024 - Friday, October 25, 2024 - Friday, November 29, 2024 - Friday, January 31, 2025 - Friday, February 28, 2025 - Friday, March 28, 2025 - Friday, May 30, 2025 - Friday, June 27, 2025
The School Technical Council is the body responsible for pedagogical decisions in basic education schools in Mexico, under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Education.
