We are entering the last months of the year, which means the arrival of two of the favorite festivities for many people: Halloween and the Day of the Dead. These moments allow us to enjoy fun with friends, maximizing creativity with costumes and home decorations. Additionally, it is a time to fondly remember our loved ones who are no longer with us.

E-commerce has become a fundamental ally for finding everything needed during these dates. From items for the altar of the dead to traditional foods of the season, along with the best decorations and trendy costumes.

According to Tiendanube, the leading e-commerce platform in Latin America, prior to these festivities, some categories have experienced a greater positive impact on sales. Home and Garden leads with an increase in sales of ornaments. Health and Beauty has seen an 18% growth with makeup purchases, highlighting metallic color eyeshadows like pink, purple, and black. Fashion is also a favorite of the season with trendy costumes.

Although Halloween is a very popular celebration, the Day of the Dead also has its place in online sales. Decorations like tablecloths, papel picado, crosses, bones, and colored powders remain in high demand, along with candles, flowers, skulls, and photo frames.

Regarding sales for the Day of the Dead, states like Guanajuato, CDMX, Oaxaca, and Puebla stand out. Debit cards are used in 59% of purchases, followed by credit cards at 23% and transfers at 28%. Furthermore, 60% of purchases are made from mobile devices. As for shipping, the majority choose the option to receive through some courier service.
