The Patronal Feast of San Judas Tadeo is approaching and the faithful are beginning to gather at the iconic San Hipólito Temple in Mexico City. This celebration, which takes place on October 28, attracts thousands of devotees who prepare to honor the patron saint of lost causes.

The festivity not only includes masses and blessings but also involves the active participation of parishioners, who share bracelets, scapulars, prayers, and food in honor of San Judas Tadeo. Some attendees even dress as the saint, demonstrating their devotion and commitment to the celebration.

According to the itinerary published by the San Hipólito Temple, the celebration will begin early in the morning with traditional mañanitas, followed by masses and blessings throughout the day. The temple will close its doors at 7:30 PM, so it is advised that the faithful arrive early to join the celebration.

For those planning to attend, it has been reported that the influx of people will affect one lane of Avenida Hidalgo at the height of Paseo de la Reforma. To avoid traffic setbacks, the Traffic Orientation Center has suggested alternative routes that include Eje 1 Norte, Avenida de los Insurgentes, Eje 1 Poniente, Balderas, Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, Avenida Chapultepec, José María Izazaga, and Avenida Doctor Río de la Loza.

For those who cannot physically attend the event, the San Hipólito Temple will offer live streaming of the masses through its digital platforms. This celebration brings together the Catholic community in a festive and united atmosphere to honor the figure of San Judas Tadeo.
