Effie Awards Mexico 2024 Celebrates Creativity and Innovation

The 25th Effie Awards Mexico honored outstanding advertising effectiveness, with PepsiCo Mexico named Advertiser of the Year and Isla República as Agency of the Year. The event gathered over 700 professionals to celebrate the industry’s future and foster collaboration.


Effie Awards Mexico 2024 Celebrates Creativity and Innovation

The 25th edition of the Effie Awards Mexico was successfully held, demonstrating the power of advertising effectiveness in a constantly changing environment. During the gala, Rosa María Gardea, General Director of AVE, highlighted the importance of strengthening the sector and collaboration among industry members to face future challenges with innovative and effective solutions.

PepsiCo Mexico was recognized as Advertiser of the Year, while Isla República was honored as Agency of the Year. The ceremony featured prominent figures such as Enrique Quintana, VP of El Financiero, and Les Binet of adam&eveDDB, who emphasized the relevance of effectiveness in marketing.

The event brought together more than 700 professionals from marketing and advertising, honoring the campaigns and strategies that raised the industry standard in Mexico. In this commemorative edition, 57 awards were presented, including 13 golds, 17 silvers, and 27 bronzes, recognizing creativity, effectiveness, and a commitment to excellence.

Effie College, a key part of the event, provided students with a unique industry experience, highlighting the commitment to future generations. Essity, with its Saba brand, took home the Grand Effie for the campaign “Freedom to feel comfortable.” Additionally, awards were given to educational institutions such as the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, the Universidad de la Comunicación, the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, and the Universidad Anáhuac México Campus Norte in various Effie College categories.

The president of the Board of the Association of Advertising Agencies (AVE), Luis Gaitán, underscored the key role of the Effie in Mexico, encouraging continued learning and staying updated on market trends. The Mexican advertising industry is strengthened by events like the Effie Awards, which recognize excellence and promote innovation in the sector.
