After Ciro Gómez Leyva's departure from the nightly news of Imagen Televisión after 8 years at the helm, Nacho Lozano took his place. For the second time, the journalist left his position on "De pisa y corre" to take over the prime time slot at Imagen Televisión. The first time Nacho left this space was to work at Telemundo, but he returned months later.
In his farewell week, Ciro expressed his confidence that Nacho would maintain the audience he inherited. However, in his first week in charge, Nacho failed to meet expectations. In his debut as the host of "Imagen Noticias con Nacho Lozano," he garnered 570,200 viewers, surpassing "Hechos con Javier Alatorre" from TV Azteca, which had 530,620 spectators. On the other hand, "En Punto" from Televisa led the ratings with 1.71 million viewers.
However, the following day, Nacho Lozano's audience dropped to 483,090 viewers, while "Hechos con Javier Alatorre" rose to 638,860 spectators. Enrique Acevedo led again with 1.85 million viewers. On Wednesday, October 23, "Imagen Noticias" recorded its lowest audience with 397,650 viewers, representing a loss of 30.27% since its premiere. Meanwhile, "Hechos con Javier Alatorre" attracted 442,960 people and "En Punto" reached 1.70 million viewers. Although on Thursday, October 24, he managed to improve with 516,370 viewers, he did not reach the figure of his debut.
