The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) announced the start and end dates of the December holidays for students of preschool, primary, and secondary education. The SEP defined that the last day of classes before the holiday period will be Wednesday, December 18.
The start of the holidays will be atypical, as students will only have three days of classes in the third week of December, before officially starting the holidays on Thursday, December 19. During this holiday period, which will last three weeks, students will enjoy the year-end festivities.
The school calendar includes the suspension of teaching activities on Wednesday, December 25, and January 1, 2025, which coincide with the holiday period. Once the new year begins, on Monday, January 6, an Intensive Workshop for personnel with management functions will be held, meaning students will return to classes only two days, on Thursday and Friday of the first week of January.
Regarding upcoming events, an Intensive Workshop for staff is scheduled for January 7 and 8. Finally, students will officially return to classes on Thursday, January 9, to continue with their academic activities.
