Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán, mayor of El Marqués, met with the winning team of the state contest of national flag bearers in its XLIII edition, held on November 9 in Querétaro. The students of the Tenoch telesecundary secured first place in the secondary category, which will allow them to represent Querétaro in the National Contest in Morelia, Michoacán, on the upcoming February 22 and 23.
More than 40 flag teams from various educational institutions at the basic, middle, and higher levels, both public and private, participated in the contest. One of the evaluation criteria was the impeccable presentation of the uniforms, so the municipality of El Marqués made an investment to donate seven gala uniforms to the winning team. These uniforms are also used in ceremonies honoring the flag and civic events.
During the reception, Mayor Monsalvo emphasized that El Marqués will be an ally for the students' future projects, encouraging them to continue excelling and making their municipality proud.
