21 years ago, the Dominican Republic won the title of "Miss Universe" during a beauty pageant held in Mexico. Victoria Kir, the professional dancer, surpassed over 130 competitors, which is a remarkable number of participants in the competition.
The 73rd edition of the Miss Universe pageant featured the participation of first-time mothers, where 10 mothers from different nationalities participated, including Beatriz Noguia, 40 years old from Malta, and a mother of three children.
In 2023, the competition witnessed expansion to include married women and those with additional weight. One of the favorites for the audience, in the 73rd edition of the competition, was Eliana Marquez, the Venezuelan influencer, 28 years old, who worked as a model and actress and placed fifth.
Among the 12 finalists, Jennifer Colón from Puerto Rico, who is 36 years old and a mother of three children, as well as Logina Salah, an Egyptian fashionista, who is 34 years old.
