In Xochimilco, Mexico City, a clandestine grave was discovered during inspections on the property of a house on Camino a San Pablo, where two people were arrested for their presumed involvement in a femicide. Drugs and a grave were found at the site. The discovery occurred after the shooting murder of a 50-year-old woman on January 3 in Xochimilco.

During three simultaneous search warrants executed by security authorities from Mexico City and federal agents, as well as armed forces, two individuals were arrested in relation to the crime. Following a report from the SSC, it was revealed that two suspects in the murder fled on a motorcycle but were identified through surveillance cameras.

Authorities, including the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City, the CDMX Security Secretariat, the Secretariat of the Navy, the National Defense Secretariat, the National Guard, and the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection, have been investigating the site since February 5 to determine if there are human remains in the grave. Skeletal remains have been found, and it is suspected that there could be more bodies, prompting canine teams to explore the area.

During a search of three homes in Xochimilco following the woman's murder in January, a clandestine grave was discovered on the property of a house on Camino a San Pablo. The site is a wooded area in the high part of Xochimilco. Between 2020 and 2023, nine clandestine graves were documented in Mexico City, one in each borough, according to the magazine Nexos.
