Call for Meritorious Recognition in Nursing 2025

The General Health Council in Mexico is opening the call to reward outstanding nurses, recognizing their essential contribution to public health. Nominations will begin on February 17, 2025, and end on March 31, 2025, with the awardees being announced on National Nursing Day, May 12.

The General Health Council in Mexico has launched the call for the 2025 Merit Awards in Nursing, aiming to highlight the exceptional contributions of nurses in the country's health system.

Health, educational, and professional institutions are invited to nominate nurses who have excelled for their outstanding contributions in three specific categories: "Graciela Arroyo de Cordero," "María Guadalupe Cerisola Salcido," and "María Suárez Vázquez."

The recognition seeks to emphasize the fundamental work of these professionals in areas such as medical care, research, and teaching, highlighting their role in the well-being of the population. Awardees will receive a diploma and a financial incentive during the commemoration ceremony of National Nurses Day on May 12, 2025.

Proposals must be submitted by an endorsing institution and directed to the Secretary of the General Health Council. Self-nominations will not be accepted, and priority will be given to candidates who have not previously been recognized by the CSG.

The application period will be open from February 17 to March 31, 2025. For more details about the call and the application process, the CSG website can be consulted or communication can be made through the indicated email or phone number.
