In her statements, Brugada mentioned the priority of building a city where anyone can access a specialist for emotional well-being. She announced the implementation, starting March 1, of a strategy for emotional health care in conjunction with federal authorities, involving 200 professionals to promote community prevention in schools.

Additionally, it was detailed that a comprehensive care clinic will be established to operate 24 hours to develop programs aimed at students and the general population, with the goal of preventing and addressing various mental health disorders. For her part, the Secretary of Health of Mexico City, Nadine Gasman Zylberman, emphasized the importance of mental and emotional health in primary health care.

The event takes place shortly after an incident at Secondary School No. 236, where a minor was injured. Authorities are investigating whether the girl was a victim of bullying and are probing to clarify what happened. In light of this situation, the creation of a network of primary mental health care services was announced, along with the transformation of the Institute for the Care and Prevention of Addictions into the Institute of Mental Health and Addictions.
