Ericka Vargas Quevedo is a Pediatric Internist, with extensive academic training. She graduated from the National Institute of Pediatrics and holds a Master's degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in Research from the National Polytechnic Institute. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Hereditary Metabolic Diseases from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a Master's in Lysosomal Storage Diseases from the Translational Research Unit of the Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences in Madrid, Spain. She also holds a training certificate in MPS, Fabry, and Gaucher Disease from FYMCA Medical LTD in Panama City during the period 2017-2019.
Currently, she is an adjunct professor in the pediatrics specialty at UNAM and works in the Pediatric Internal Medicine service at the National Medical Center 20 de Noviembre. She is the Founder and Coordinator of the Pediatric Metabolic Inborn Errors and Rare Diseases Clinic. Additionally, she has collaborated on numerous publications of articles both nationally and internationally, as well as in the drafting of various chapters in her area of specialization. She also serves as a speaker for several medical laboratories.
