Adrián García Cruz is a distinguished professional in embryology and genetics, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Embryology and Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Demonstrating a solid commitment to education and research in health sciences, Dr. García Cruz is also a Tutor Professor for students in the same faculty and a member of the Editorial Board of the pharmacology journal.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from UNAM and a Master’s degree in Socio-Medical Sciences with a specialization in Medical Education from the same institution, he has excelled as an Adjunct Professor in Human Embryology at UNAM and at Saint Luke’s School of Medicine. Additionally, he holds the position of Vocal for Embryology in the Mexican Society of Anatomy. Dr. García Cruz is the President of the Organizing Committee for the First International Congress on Applied Embryology to Clinical Practice.
In his academic and professional trajectory, Dr. García Cruz reflects his interest in the intersection of medicine and education. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership and Direction of Educational Institutions at Anáhuac University and has been a scientific reviewer of the book "Medical Embryology". His commitment to continuous updating in his field is supported by his participation in diplomas endorsed by UNAM, such as Educational Evaluation in Health Sciences and Aesthetic Medicine, among others.
He has held various coordination positions at the Faculty of Medicine of UNAM, such as Head of the Academic Section in the Department of Embryology and Genetics, and Coordinator of Evaluation and of Medical Interns for Social Services in the same department. At the level of conferences and publications, Dr. García Cruz has shared his knowledge in numerous national and international talks and has been a co-author of significant books in human morphology, embryology, and developmental biology, as well as practical guides related to drugs during gestation.
