Dr. Rocío Crystal Grajales Álvarez is a medical oncologist with extensive training in the treatment of breast cancer. She is certified by the Mexican Council of Medical Oncology and provides private consultations at various institutions, including Grupo Ángeles and Star Médica Roma.
Her work ranges from managing cases with early diagnoses to metastatic cancer, attending to patients in different stages of the disease. She has been part of important awareness initiatives about breast cancer and has collaborated with organizations such as the Mexican Association Against Cancer (AMLCC) and the CIMA Foundation, thus demonstrating her commitment to improving oncological care in Mexico.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Grajales has worked at the Oncology Hospital of the National Medical Center "Siglo XXI" and has served as an attending physician at the Breast Tumor Clinic. She has participated in coordinating modules on breast cancer at national and international congresses and has been an instructor in medical oncology specialization programs.
To specialize in breast cancer, Dr. Grajales completed a postgraduate program in this area at the Universitat de Barcelona and has undertaken several preceptorships at specialized institutions. In 2024, she was awarded the National Research Award in Oncology granted by the Mexican Society of Oncology (SMeO) for her work on prognostic markers in patients with HER2-positive breast cancer.
