
The governor announced an increase in funding for the Red Cross and Firefighters of Nuevo León. Initially, 40 million pesos had been allocated to each institution annually, but last year, 44 million 100 thousand pesos were delivered to each. For the years 2025 to 2027, 50 million pesos per year have been secured for both institutions.
In his statements, the governor highlighted the importance of supporting the Red Cross and Firefighters so they can have new ambulances, more paramedics, and better facilities. He also mentioned that the government of Nuevo León is committed to continuing local support and not relying on foreign influences.
During the year 2024, the Red Cross served 74 thousand people, provided medical services to 47 thousand, and ambulance services to 27 thousand, with service offered every 7 minutes. Regarding the collection for 2025, it is expected to raise 11 million 930 thousand pesos.
In a conversation with the treasurer, the governor decided to increase financial support for non-governmental organizations in general, so this year a total of 250 million pesos will be allocated, compared to the 230 million from the previous year. García emphasized the importance of supporting multiple NGOs related to culture, security, and assistance in the state.
