Thousands of fans of regional Mexican music were surprised to find a banner on various virtual platforms, which contained a threatening message aimed at the group Grupo Firme. Despite the fact that in recent months various criminal organizations have spread narcomantas towards several singers, this last one featured the image of a human head.
In this context, the supposed attempted robbery suffered by Miguel Ángel 'Maikel' Medina went viral, although there was no concrete information about what happened to the singer. As a result, some followers of the group La Inolvidable expressed messages of support through their profiles on Instagram.
After a few minutes, the group issued a statement informing about the health condition of their vocalist: 'To our followers and to the public in general, we want to inform you that the current health status of Miguel Ángel 'Maikel' Medina is stable.' They also expressed confidence in his swift recovery and thanked everyone for their prayers.
Although details about the injuries sustained were not revealed, followers can feel more at ease knowing that the artist is not fighting for his life. Despite this, some media reports indicated: 'It was during the night of this Wednesday that the singer was shot at the intersections of Isla Vírgines and Cruz del Sur. Medina, after dropping someone off near Secondary School #14, was approached by armed men who demanded the truck; when he resisted, he was shot in the shoulder.'
