Two teenagers, Miriam N. and Victoria N., who were reported missing in Santa Isabel Cholula, were found safe and sound after confessing that they had left on their own. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Puebla, in conjunction with state security forces, managed to locate the young women thanks to a coordinated search operation that was activated as soon as their disappearance was reported.
After being found, the minors were taken to the Attorney General's Office for evaluation, and in the initial interviews, they admitted to having voluntarily left. However, the location of the teenagers took place after a series of protests organized by their families. These, desperate to find the young women, blocked the toll booth on the Puebla-Atlixco highway around midnight on March 1, setting fire to tires to stop traffic and demand the swift location of the missing girls.
The blockade caused significant traffic chaos, with a long line of stranded cars on the highway connecting Puebla with Atlixco, as there were no alternate routes possible due to the situation in the area. Under pressure from relatives and the deployment of the relevant authorities, the whereabouts of Miriam and Victoria were finally determined, and they are now safe.
