The arrival of a cold front caused fires in Nuevo León, fueled by high temperatures and strong winds. One of the most severe hotspots affected the municipalities of Santa Catarina and García, where the flames spread uncontrollably due to winds of up to 70 km/h. Despite the immediate response from rescuers, local companies reported at least four damages due to the fire.

Despite the proximity of the fires to several residential areas, residents did not have to be evacuated, but they were advised to keep their properties closed due to the direction of the smoke.
