Effective Treatments for Cellulite Revealed

Diana shared her experience of fighting cellulite after trying several ineffective medical treatments. According to her, she noticed a significant improvement in the appearance of her skin when she started exercising and following a balanced diet. On the other hand, specialist Margarita Patiño Manzanero points out that leading a healthy lifestyle is key to preventing or reducing cellulite.

Recommended preventive measures include maintaining a balanced diet, engaging in regular physical activity, drinking enough water to improve circulation, and avoiding tobacco and alcohol consumption. Although cellulite is not a serious health issue, it can affect the self-esteem of those who suffer from it, and it is advisable to see a dermatologist for an appropriate diagnosis and personalized treatment.

Dermatologist Margarita Patiño Manzanero explained that cellulite is a panniculopathy caused by the accumulation of fat beneath the skin, which pushes the tissues and creates dimples. Despite being more common in women, it also affects 10% of men. There are different types of cellulite, such as edematous cellulite, which is associated with fluid retention and mainly affects women between the ages of 20 and 40.

Diana avoided wearing certain clothes to hide her cellulite, and the specialist recommends intensive combined treatments to improve its appearance. For his part, Pablo developed cellulite due to his sedentary lifestyle. Dr. Patiño indicates that the type of cellulite can vary, with hard cellulite being one of them.

There is a significant prevalence of cellulite in women, affecting between 85% and 90% of them throughout their lives. It manifests as an "orange peel" appearance on thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. Women should use firming creams and apply treatments like lymphatic drainage, liposculpture, and cardiovascular exercise to address cellulite.

In summary, Diana and Pablo faced cellulite differently, with the former opting for lifestyle changes and the latter resorting to creams. The fight against cellulite can be complicated, but with the right treatment and preventive measures, it is possible to improve its appearance and feel more confident.
