
A woman died and three men were injured in an incident that took place on the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway. According to eyewitnesses, an armed individual attacked the occupants of two vehicles that were involved in a fight that started as a verbal altercation and then escalated to physical blows, culminating in a tragic outcome.
The events occurred during the afternoon of March 17, at kilometer 61 of the highway, specifically at the intersection to take the La Pera-Cuautla stretch. The drivers of the vehicles blocked the road to get out and began a physical confrontation that ended in armed violence.
In the midst of the confrontation, the driver of one of the vehicles fired a gun at the occupants of the other car, injuring the three men present. The mother who was traveling with her three children in the Mazda attempted to calm the situation, but upon realizing the shooting, she tried to escape and was hit by another vehicle, dying on the spot.
The aggressor managed to flee, triggering a search operation by the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and local authorities from Morelos, who ultimately located the alleged perpetrator in the municipality of Huitzilac.
The injured were taken to a hospital for medical attention, while at the scene, the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) and the authorities carried out the corresponding proceedings.
