Metro Employee Suspended for Alleged Intoxication

A worker from the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro was removed from her position after a video circulated on social media showing her with alleged signs of intoxication inside the Cuatro Caminos station of Line 2.

In the video, the woman, identified as a station chief, is escorted by auxiliary police while exhibiting incoherent behavior and relying on one of the officers for balance. During her transfer, she can be heard uttering insults and confusing expressions.

The worker was taken to a security module after apparently refusing to leave on her own. Metro CDMX confirmed that the employee was immediately removed from her duties and that an investigation initiated by the General Directorate has been opened to clarify the events.

If confirmed that she was intoxicated, Metro CDMX stated that sanctions will be applied according to the General Working Conditions of the STC. The agency reiterated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards such behaviors and classified the conduct as unacceptable.

In a clip of the video, the employee, apparently intoxicated, says: 'I feel grateful to the Lord, let's go with the one above' in a sarcastic and mocking manner.

The situation caused a stir and generated calls to follow strict protocols regarding such behaviors within the Mexico City Metro.
