
The health company Christus Muguerza plans to invest 2 billion pesos for the construction of a new hospital in Los Cabos, which is expected to start operating in the first half of 2028. Horacio Garza Ghio, CEO of Christus Muguerza, stated that the main focus of the company is to provide humanized services, with compassionate care, taking care of both the physical and emotional and spiritual health of patients and their families.
The hospital, which will be called Christus Muguerza Los Cabos, aims not only to serve the local population, composed of more than 350,000 inhabitants, but also the more than 23,000 American residents in the area and the more than 4 million tourists who visit this tourist destination annually. The construction of the hospital will cover 23,671 square meters on a 29,215 square meter lot and will feature around 30 medical specialties, including cardiology, oncology, gynecology, pediatrics, and neurosurgery, along with specialized clinics such as a breast clinic.
In the first phase, the hospital will have 72 beds, 44 medical offices, 4 emergency cubicles, 3 operating rooms, among other critical areas to provide comprehensive health care to patients. The architectural design of this project is handled by the firm FR-EE, led by architect Fernando Romero, son-in-law of Mexican businessman Carlos Slim. Romero mentioned that in collaboration with the health system, they have been working on the development of the facilities to ensure that this hospital is the best in the state in terms of technology, efficiency, and functionality, with the aim of offering the best service to the community.
